Hey Guys,
I am trying to make a game like Bankrobber or Pimp quest, I need to know how to make the TI-83+ keep track of the amount of money and how to make it add and subtract money. Then show the amount you have. Thanks guys!

this is for Basic not assembly
store the amount of money as X, when you get money store X + (amount of money) as X, when you buy something or lose money store X - (amount of money) as X. To display the amount of money enter in Disp X

Hey! Someone should make Advance Wars for the TI-89!!
Is that possible, or is it too much to do?

It's already been ported to the 89. Look in the file archive for a game called CalcWars...it's almost exactly the same game.

How many people in here would like to see a version of Harvest Moon for the 89? I'm considering doing it.
If I did it would be in C and have grayscale graphics.
Let me know what you think.

It would only be for the Ti-89....sorry it's the only calc I have, and I would mainly be doing it to have something fun to do at school...lol
I'd welcome anybody to port it to another calc though, just as long as I get credit for the original version mentioned on the program itself...

I'm not sure if I really want to do it...I'm not that good, and programming on the gba is so much easier..lmao

I'll think about it though...

Yeah there's a community out there devoted to gba programming...they're just about as big us the Ti community! Just do a search on yahoo for gameboy advance programming...it bring up lots of stuff...emulators...sdk's...compilers and what not

There are a couple of different compilers out there..there is the official Arm SDK from nintendo..but you either have to buy it ($30,000) and have a publisher's license, or try and get it ilegally..which I haven't seen it...then there is the Devkitadv compiler..it's the most widely by the comunity...I however use the HAM compiler...it's easier to set up...and it has several built in functions and such for doing graphics\sound and what not.....you can play\test\debug the programs you make on a emulator such as visualboy advance....however...in order to put your stuff on the actuall gameboy...you'll need to get a special cartridge that connects to your pc....you can also download illegal games off the net and put them on there too!......they're kinda expensive though...

Visit my website to learn a bit more..

hope this helps

Re: Game Ideas
Matt M

Can someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come out for a Mario program for 83+ Mirage/ion that dosn't crash or cause RAM clear when you die several times on 1 level and restart the program? I am sick of having all my stuff deleted and I have finally given up on it. PLEASE come up with one.

Re: Re: Game Ideas

OK, I finally found one. If anyone else needs it, it is in the 83 Plus ION games and it is titled "Super Mario 2.0" or something like that. The only thing is there is a glitch in the editor so, I recommend using the editor found at the 83 Plus MirageOS games.

Don't complain to me, I don't make the news, I only report it. I didn't make the program.
