I have looked all over the site and can't find what I am looking for: A terminal program for the TI-89. Such that I can connect it through RS-232 to a computer or a modem. I don't care whether I need a null modem or something like that; I have a wide assortment of hardware at hand and can readily build anything I don't have. I do have a gray Graphlink which I understand is compatible with the RS-232 serial interface. Anyone able to point me in the right direction? Please reply here or email to afa_scourge@hotmail.com. Thanks.

operator  Account Info

Hi Luke,
I want to build a terminal for the 89T. It looks like it will need to be done from the ground up. I plan to use a logic analyzer to capture the output to the pc link, to see if I can adapt/emulate in A68x Assembler and generate the right sequences for a modem. I will report back when I get something concrete.

I have a better program:

:ClrHome
:Disp" Done
:While 1
:Input "",Str0
:End

This program appears to dissable everything. Note that "Done" is TYPED OUT (you must enable lower-case), and has 12 spaces before it, so it appears as though the program did finished and disabled everything. Now, if only it used the disable-the-ON-button asm program, that would be crazy!

I have actually had it first print out something that doesn't make sense to give a slight hint that either this is a prank, or your calc has been messed up. I had it go put this on the screen before the loop (the underscores are really spaces; it wont space over otherwise):

2+2
______________5
___________Done

Now, the person think that the program has quit, but now they can't open the most menus, and when they type in a command/equation, it doesn't do anything or show the result; it just moves down. I actually have a program similer to this in the archives; it's called "HALFLIFE"

yea i got a question on that...

if you hide the program using marageOS, and send it to another calc will it be hidden or will they be able to see what the program actually is by usint the "EDIT" part...?
thanks

ON a related topic, I made a prog (not on the web yet) that would act act like nothing happened, but give give you wrong answers and limit use of most menus.
::ClrHome
:Lbl 1
:Input "",A
:A+1->A
:Disp A
:Goto 1

also, you could add that Disp " Done"
at the beginning of the code and stick the whole chunk of code in a prog. That would be cool

you could also use the While loop, or if you wanted to input a certain number of times, you could use a For( loop

its actually in the site policies that

"Programs made exclusively for cheating (e.g. fake memory-clearing programs)"
arent allowed... so your probabally not going to get much help that wont be taken down...

try a prgm that finds out whether a list matrix program xists or not, an asm prgm that can be used to save game data in a safe place, screen clearer, screen scroller, tile map and sprite drawer, pic storing and recalling for pics from 0 to 255, instant circles, ability to access the greek letters and haracters, file compresser, fast pixel changing and drawing, asm prgm that uses a list\ matrix to write a basic and\or asm prgm, coping a program to a nme that is choosen and changed easily, and finally on my long wish list
a contrast changer and a turn off the screen prgm that works without screwing up the saferam areas that xlib uses. thats all =]!

Also: It would be very,very simple (about 10-20 lines) to make a program in VB that would take an exe and convert it into a .bmp or .txt. The Crapintosh problem is a bit harder, but some C++ magic could do the trick.
