Joey and Morgan join ticalc.org
Posted by Magnus on 1 March 2003, 19:25 GMT

The long hunt is over, and we have finally hired ourselves a couple of file archivers. New to our staff are Joey Gannon and Morgan Davies, who will share the job of file archiving.

They have just been added to our systems, and it will be a while before they have been introduced in all the parts of our systems, so please give them a while to get up to speed. Once there, though, we hope to see the large backlog of files shrink fast.

Update (Nick): Files seem to be trickling in. After seeing Random Numbar Generator's 73 port as the first added file I didn't know whether to laugh or cry; nonetheless, here we are.

LOL, I've been just browsing through all the files... it's like a dream come true :) None of mine came through yet, but I'll be patient. Hey, some of these look interesting...

Well, what do you expect? I know I would do the same thing if I were in his position.

You know I knew somebody was going to comment on that. No matter what you may think I didn't do it on purpose. SeriouslyI swear. My files just **happened to be** next in the pending. And if you don't believe me, cause I don't care. :-)

How about another point of view? The newbie archiver is practicing on his own files and not yours.

Hmm, that makes it a little better (except for the fact that they were just next in the pending line).

Does it really matter. Average of 150+ files a day and they shoudl be down to 0 in less than two weeks assuming that none are uploaded.

GO TICALC!
centauri Account Info

I'm quite pleased that TICALC is finally pumping out new programs. It's quite disheartening to log onto TICALC only to find that the only programs there are outdated by more than a couple of days.

I believe I speak on behalf, or write for that matter, the TI community, when I say that TICALC has once again saved the day.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here's To TICALC
Class going by too slow? Need to stay awake?
Better to play Mario than to take a break.
Shut those eyes and your teacher will say,
Why don't you stay after school to-day!
Play some games, write soft-ware,
Who cares if the students stare
Your teacher screams, "put that thing away"
You stare back and say "but I've gotta play"
So now with TICALC back, we say Hooray!
And more games galore, for us to play
More teachers and wannabies for us to annoy
Better use for our one-hundred dollar toy
Nice! The funny thing about rhymes in text format is... you don't know whether it's a poem, pop song, rap, etc.
Some people are gifted in that area [of writing poems/etc.]... I'm not :)
