I'm slightly confused about something... I sent in an application for this position and never received any sort of response whatsoever about it. Not even so much as a note telling me I didn't get the position. I'd heard that the staff had been interviewing, but didn't want to get nosy about when I might be interviewed. Any ideas why I was never of anything??

Due to the large amount of applications, we didn't contact that people we didn't go forward with past the application. I should've written this in the news post (I did when we hired news editor I think, but I forgot it this time). Sorry about that.

The ticalc.org staff received a WHOLE lot of applications for the job, and they probably didn't have time to tell every single person that they didn't get hired. As I recall, when I applied for news editor, I didn't know I wasn't hired until the news article about MV came out. That's just the way they do it.

When are we suggested to start uploading files again? (I don't want to pile up the queue anymore)

I figured there would be a lot of people who had files but didn't upload them yet. In answer to your question, when ther are "0" files. That seems like a good number. That way just for one moment we can be happier than we ever have, before you tear our hearts out again. K!

I'm not sure if that was sarcasm or not, Morgan, but I want to suggest that people keep uploading their files as if the queue was at a normal level. I don't want to get this thing cleared out and then suddenly have a whole new stack to plow through. If the files keep trickling in, we'll be back at normal levels in no time, and permanently.

Ahhh, it's so nice to see files being uploaded again. My pending queue will finally shrink!!!! (it's only about 6 files anyway LOL)

I got about 6 files in _today_, 53 more in my queue, and another 30 to submit :)

I have just recieved news that we will both be speaking with Niklas tomorrow at 6:00 AM. As of right now we have not been introduced into the system. So, no files, but hopefully really soon. Sorry for the delay.

You know, that's right... two weeks... Wow. After waiting months and months, the queue will be emptied in an estimated time span on two weeks. That's pretty freaky :)

Actually, our goal is to hit 0 by Pi Day. I don't know if we can do it, but we're gonna try.
