Mercury v0.75 Released
Posted by Michael on 18 February 2004, 04:12 GMT

[Mercury]Our most-downloaded author, Patrick Davidson, has released yet another fantastic space shooter game, Mercury v0.75. This one features a scrolling background, different types of enemies, bonuses, and game saving. It's available for both the 89 and the 92+.

You'll also notice the horribly blurred image to the right. This is why we have talented and proficient people other than myself who handle screenshots :).

Sweet! Too bad by linkport isn't working, though, so I can't try it on a real calc.

Wow, Patrick Davidson just keeps creating great games. I think he's one of the longest-standing members of the community.

<rant>BTW, it bugs me when people edit a couple of sprites and then release Phoenix edits, thus netting thousands of cheap downloads for something that is inevitably inferior to the original.</rant>

They don;t get any stats for those programs...check the link. I created a directory specifically for them which is not included in ranking.

Ok that link won;t work...it seems there is a limit to the length of a link, but you can still paste it into the url if you need to.

I think that that directory should get stats (Yes, I meant to type 'that' twice). But the stats should instead count as Phoenix downloads, instead.

Wow, that's really amazing that his program got so much attention. I would be proud to have a major company recognize one of my programs, even if their intention was to shut it down :)

Wow, this game DOES look awesome. I'm really glad to see that Patrick Davidson is still making programs :) Most of the people fade out after a while.

BTW, the screenshot isn't that bad. The small blur just shows motion :)

This just in: SCO is claiming that code from SCO UNIX, which was developed by SCO and not a group of computer science students at universities across the country, has been stolen and placed in DoorsOS. All users of DoorsOS must pay a royalty fee of US $699 per CPU or virtual CPU (including VTI).
