YO!
I'm working in a toolkit for lower level math (high school stuff like algebra and trig). I can program about anything, but need to know what the most commonly used formulas are. Right now all I have to offer is quatratics and the ideal gas law; I'm not sure what you need. Holla!

Common formula:

Pythagoras:
a^2+b^2=c^2
c^2-b^2=c^2
Also something to check if 3 values are a Pythagorean triads, and create a thierd value if two are entered.

Linear:
y=mx+c (more commonly used in conjunction with a graph though)

Geometric formula (for shapes; including volume, surface area, ect.)

That's what I've got.

So, did you get any programs? I did my own with menus, but had to do different ones for area, volume and perimeter

synthetic division

a quad formula that can put imaginary solutions into simplest form instead of those stupid decimals + decimali

for chemistry

heat transfer

for Physics

law of cos

vector tragectory

thats all i can think of maybe so really lower level stuff but they usually don't use graphing calculators

I need a program that will factor polynimials with variables for the ti-83+ (silver ed). It could be an asm, basic, or use Omnicalc.

Re: Re: Math Program Ideas

I need it to be able to take:
((x^2-2x+1)(x+2)) / (x(x^2+x-2))
-and factor and cancel to yield-
(x-1)/x

     27 January 2004, 00:05 GMT

Re: Re: Math Program Ideas

or:
((x^2)-16) / ((x^2)-8x+16)
and yield: (x-4)/(x+4)

But at the moment I can't even find a program to factor:
(7(a^2)b) / (21a(b^2))
to: a / (3b)
Even a solution to the latter example would help.

I am currently working on a ti-basic polynomial factoring polynomial. It reads two polynomials (hopefully more in the future) and lists the commmon factors and the final gc factor.

Hi,
I have a problem. I make a advanced vocational training and we have a examination in june 2004. But everybody in our class has problems with the lessons in drive engineering. Witch person can write an full program witch have an equation writer with full change of the surched variable (the equation writer have to show the changed equation).
We need a menu to define new folders e.g. induction motor, gears etc., to save the equations. That is a big problem. Most of the equationwriters are verry confused with the equations and they donīt show the changed equation!! Every teacher will have a full changed (on the write variable) equation.

Please Help!!

Best regards

Graor Lamont  Account Info

I can make programs that will solve equations if you need one. I will make you a mathematical program but you will have to supply formulas and what you want. (Note: I will not attempt to make a program that I do not understand) I am only human there are only certain things I can do. Email me at graor_lamont@yahoo.com if interested.
