Acutally, it seems kind of slow for pages to load today... but maybe they're just busy. This is the first time I've come since they upgraded, so I'll have to wait and see if there's much difference.

I use Earthlink dial up. And a 336000 bps modem! My Windows 98SE computer is an old 1997 133MHz Pentium. yes it is very noticeably faster. (As an off topic side note, you poor souls who downloaded my TI-83 program Factorial, well the program has been fixed. But you will have to wait for the update to be posted.)

No, it's Windows 98 Second Edition (not silver edition), and it's existed long before the 83+ SE...

"have it too"? I did not mean to imply that I use it...I use Windows ME and Windows 2000. Surprisingly, both are almost equally stable.

Speaking of the stability of operating systems...

I have an old distro of RH Linux (5.2, I think around 1999), and I've used it quite a bit. I couldn't get X to work optimally, but other than that, it works perfectly. Anyway, I'm the kind of person that manages to crash Win98 and many applications by just doing really simple-minded things (I sometimes get frustrated by this). While I've crashed Windows numerous times easily, I've never crashed Linux! I've even done more complicated things in Linux, like making and running crash-prone C programs. If this doesn't say anything about its stability, then I don't know what does. Now, Linux has improved, so it should be fairly rock-solid, something that the older (though IMO less mature) Windows still hasn't become.

As a precaution, I'm putting on my asbestos longjohns.

Winblow$ 95 & 98 use combinations of 16-bit & 32-bit libraries. This makes them very unstable and crash prone. Linux, Unix, And NT (and other NT based OS's) use all 32-bit libraries, thus making them much more stable.

Windows ME is a very very flaky operating system, But I believe Windows 2000 is quite a stable OS. Linux is also very stable.

The site is loading faster than most other sites I've visited today.

i'm sorry, a girl interested in calculators has no life, meaning no friends, meaning fat and/or ugly and/or their parents just died and they don't want any human contact. (no offense to the 2 girls who might read this... really... no offense, i promise... ) now the guys here on the other hand can be quite attractive and buff (take me for example and proof)

I'm not saying you're funny... okay I am, but only because you linked to that picture of the hot girl. She's holding an oversize TI-83+. Boy, that would be difficult to use on a test!!
