I am an april fool.

I also liked calc.org's spoof on ticalc.org though some parts seemed jealous of ticalc.

<plug type=shameless>The one on tinews.net was funny, redux posted an artical claiming that }InFuZeD{ got jailed for phreaking(some people fell for that one too.)</plug>

Anyways, if it were real they would not have used static banners.

It was the article on ticalc putting up Banner Ads. The article is currently still on the front page, but now listed as "fake news" (so you won't see it if you've disabled it). It also now includes some more information at the end explaining the joke.

They also actually put some banner ads on the front page, but those are not there any longer.

I honestly didn't think that you guys were gonna go to Banners. I've been visiting the site since 1997 (became a member about 8 months ago) You guys are great.

P.S. (off subject) I see a future TI-85 game I make soon...

The real fools aren't the ones who fell for it immediately, but rather those who were posting in the comments and trying to argue that it _was_ real. I can't believe that some people are gullible enough to believe that after noting the date and time, confirming that ticalc has pulled an acknowledged April fools joke each of the last two years, _and_ just looking at the content of those ads. If you read the comments and still didn't believe it, I think your lack of logic questions whether you should be using an advanced graphing calculator for anything. Go get a casio, they've got THREE COLORS!

Calc.org IS actually funny!

Yeah, so as not to be off topic, I wasn't fooled. Mainly because I've been here _way_ too long!

The whole TICalc parody is hilarious! You really should go check it out. No, I'm not getting paid to plug it, not that I know of anyway. But if my bank account suddenly gets bigger I honestly don't know why ;)

Umm, URLs should have forward, not backslashes. Too bad I missed the joke. I found the parody funny, though.
