I remember about a year ago or so, I had a dream where I saw the Ticalc.org homepage, and the thought occured to that a new news item had just been posted. I decided to see if there was a new one, and there was.

I think this was a day-dream that I had while I was at school. When I got home, I think I remember seeing a new news item. (Don't remember exactly, though).

I've never had a dream about/invloving TI/TICalc.Org/TI-Calcs of any kind

Though I recently had a dream that for some reason had a robot-ride armpr from megamanx in it, which was disturbingly entertaining

One time a long time ago, I had a dream that I had an X-buster from Mega Man X. Except it wasn't really an X-buster, it was more like a power to shoot laser beams from my fingers or something.

Both my dreams about ticalc.org and TI calculators were on the same night. One dream ended, and the other one began. Unfortunately, both dreams were nightmares.

Dream 1:

I dreamed that I was playing Phoenix on my 83+ SE, when the Memory suddenly reset itself. I couldn't turn my calculator no matter what I did.

Dream 2:

I dreamed that I was looking around on ticalc.org, reading the archives, when suddently my computer BSODed and could not reboot no matter what I did either.

Sad that my calculators dreams were both nightmares. They seemed so real too...

Oh yeah, I've had dreams where a hacker gets into my computer while I'm online, so I try to disconnect the phone cord, and that doesn't work, so I press the power button, and when that doesn't work, I flip the switch on the power strip...etc...anyways, I eventually end up pulling out the plug from the wall and it still doesn't turn off! :-D

I had a dream sometime back where I accidentally clicked a Javascript link in an spam message in Mozilla (even though Javascript was supposed to be disabled in email), and somehow a virus took over the computer and manipulated it in such a way that the computer couldn't be turned off or reset even by unplugging it, and it took over the BIOS, so rebooting the computer didn't get rid of it.

It installed some weird kind of "operating system," but I think it was some kind of spyware/adware that posed as legitimite software.

That was weird, since I knew that's pretty much impossible in real life... I think what mainly made it scary was that it wasn't my computer it happened on, it was my parents'.

Haha!!! That WOULD be scary. Aren't you glad there's no such thing as a Javascript virus? ;-)

The no back button pages would count. Whoever thought of having a 'leave' event is a dumbass.

"leave?" I thought it was onUnLoad...

LOL Those pages are fun. Actually, they can't entirely keep you from leaving--there's no way they can do that. I think your browser will "overrule" it, in a sense. The most annoying thing they can do is create a pop-up when you leave the page... which, I must say, is VERY annoying.

That's why I like web browsers that let me control exactly what Javascript on websites can and *can't* do.

I haven't done any JS in a while. There's a Tk event called 'leave' that tells you when the cursor has left the specified widget.

That is kinda sad (lol), but I've had similar things happen. I think the worst nightmares I ever have are the ones where my computer crashes. I get them about once every two months. It's so relieving to wake up and notice that your computer is still "alive." ;)

The dreams where my computer dies are much worse than the dreams where I die... hmm...

LOL. I sometimes feel that way. :) But sleeping is necessary; if you don't sleep, you're not very well off (IMO).

When I don't sleep the code I write is filled with stupid bugs as a result of mistakes that no one in their right mind would make...

Yeah, I think we all have at one time or another... the worst is probably forgetting a semi-colon. I hate that.

Heh, when you called him M, that made me think... you could be -M- and he could be -W-. It's just a vertical flip! Okay, I'll stop talking.

The stupid mistakes I make are usually things where I'll have a loop that parses a string or something, and I'll forget to add the code to increment the pointer, and then wonder why it freezes...
