Does the "Press 'I' to install OS" prompt constitute an OS? That's all my TI-89 has, since it's batteries died while I was flashing it :'(

*only has a z80*
Press [on] whilst replacing one battery and a restore function should appear on your 89 where you can install the OS.

Or you could reflash it.... It is possible you know. The only catch is if you were using a black link, you have to use a black link to continue. If it was from another person, you have to use that person. If it was with a USB link, you have to use USB. It is weird that way.

Beh, most likely. "Don't play with the BIOS!" (same thing applies to "Don't play with the OS!"
But yeah, when flashing, make sure the calc has a secure connection and that the source isn't going to crash.

I didn't vote.

But yeah, an "I don't own a 68K calculator" option would have been nice.

Just make that "I own an 83/83+/83+SE" :)
Anyway, it would've gotten way to many votes ;)

AMS 2.06 was an "experimental" one for the Voyage 200. AMS 2.08 does in fact exist. Would you like me to find ticalc.org news items about it?

No, 2.07 was an experimental one for v200. It's about the same as 2.08 for 89/92+.

My V200 shipped in April with 2.07. It currently has 2.09.

Where is there an OS >2.09 at?

I have 2 TI-89s and they both have 2.09. One of them I use to play games, the other I develop them on.

I have three 83+'s, one for games, one for developement, and one for school, then I have an 89, that I use to take test's with, an 86, for whatever reason that I forgot, a regular 83 that is all covered in dust and an 82 for whenever I feel like porting something.

My actual list of calcs is as follows:
82, 83, 83+, 83+SE, 84+ ,86 ,89 HW1,89 HW2

I actually had another 83+, but I sold it to someone "less fortunate" because his parents didn't think the 82 was outdated...

Haha...funny...I done the same but I think at the height of my "collection", I had about seven 83+'s before I sold four of them to "unfortunante people" of the same case. So, I just kept the one's I used.

mostly likely not, because until two years ago I had the same 83+ I had the same calc, and did everything on it, for four years. Then, I bought an 89, and the some people, who thought they didnt need a calc anymore, ask me if I wanted to buy it from they. suckers

Actually, no you are not. For a very long time I only had my 83+. Then I discovered how easy it was to manipulate druggies and takin their calcs. They were always lookin to get money to get more of whatever, and I would wait until I was sure they were to get drugged that weekend. I would then borrow it to 'see if i knew how to use it' and when monday come rollin around, they had forgotten all about it. that was how I got my first 89 and 86.
