It was up until a few days ago, when sadly, it was replaced by slashdot. Sorry, tical.org! Don't worry, I still visit here.

I seem to remember from my windows days that you could use "Active Desktop" to imbed web pages in your desktop background. Has anyone done this with TICalc.org, so that it would be there imediately after login?

In the address bar, there is a little icon. Drag that to the desktop. You can do that with images on webpages as well.

OK, I found the program using my homepage of google ;) by searching "active-desktop" (no quotes) and found out that it costs like $20...I'm not about to pay that for a program that does something dumb like that...

It's built into Wondows. Right-click, go to Properties, click the Desktop tab (WinXP), and click "Customize Desktop...". Then go to the Web tab, and proceed from htere. It should be obvious from there.

No, Active Desktop is very buggy and very annoying. I don't even turn it on.

Maybe he has some secret, high-tech new ticalc.org site or something as his homepage. He's just not telling anyone.

I know "yes", "ja", and "sí", but I've never heard of "out of languages" before...what dialect is it? ;)

Wow, that's three now, for about:blank. I think that's tied with google. I thought ticalc would surely win, though.
