TI-H: Re: get off radio shack!

The local radio shack in my town doubles as a phone company. They seem to do
good with the phone half, but their electonics section is in the corner and
they don't know too much about it. I do like the quick access, but when you do
have to special order something there, you have to consider that they have no
shipping charge. I ordered a rather large multimeter that does nearly
everything, and it's the same price as a catalog I saw it in, but minus
shipping! I have to admit that $20 for 4 74HC14s and 10 74ACT245s seems a bit
outrageous, but I'd probably had to pay that much in shipping too. Also, there
is no minimum order either.

I have to compliment them on that.

Although, if it's a rather large quantity, youd be better off paying shipping.
It depends on what you need. They are good for the little pit stop when you
run out of a part and need one quick. Mail order is good for mass quantitys
(like me! 100 sub mini switches every 2-3 months!)
