I wouldnt be so fast as to say the 89 will be allowed on tests that easily.
it is thought that the real reason the the 92 isnt allowed isnt simply becuase
it has a qwerty keyboard, that was just a convenient excuse, but rather the
ability to manipulate symbolic numbers fast and easily.  What if the keyboard
on the ti wasnt qwerty but rather a more efficient layout, just because it has
a qwerty and somewhere technically fits a definition for a computer doesnt
mean that the Teachers and administrators can not diferentuate An oversized
calc with a palm or lap top.  It seems to me that the keyboard was an easy
excuse but they are really afraid of the calc's abilities.    We will see if
this is correct when the 89 is released.
