Yes, it would seem to for the 82,83, and 85.  The 86 does that low
battery meesage when you turn it on with enter held down.  83 people,
does your calculator have the low battery message like the 86?  If so,
why would there be a break message when you turn on instead of the low
battery message?  How about the 80 & 81?
