Author profiles connected to accounts
Posted by Magnus on 3 March 2002, 17:23 GMT

We've talked about it for a long time, but not done anything about it. But finally, it's done. The file author profiles are now connected to the user accounts.

This will make it possible to modify the information on these pages directly on the site using a normal login, instead of having to mail filearchive@ticalc.org. In the beginning, you will only be able to modify the name shown on the author information page - but we will update this with more features over time.

We have automatically connected all user accounts that had identical email addresses as an author profile to that user account. All other users will manually have to attach their author profile to their user account, using our normal "secret code is mailed out" method.

If you have any questions regarding your author profile, please contact filearchive@ticalc.org.

So how do you get to it? Enter Your Account, then chose Manage File Author Profile.

I have a few questions on basic programming. In every tutorial I have found,it shows how to do motion and such, but doesn't explain what each piece of the syntax does. Is there a listing of all of that somewhere...?

different calcs have kind-of different Basic, but if your talking about an 83 or 83+, www.ikevtiva.com/calc
has the best tutorials out there.

(the basic is pretty much the same for all, but if your begining, find a place that is for your calc, so you dont have to interpit the commands i.e.
83/+ clrhome = 85/86 clrlcd

I don't know what scares me most, a mooseduck (is that a moose that is a wereduck or a duck that is a weremoose?)
or the fact that you needed numbers.. so there is more then one?

Cool! Now, how do I fix problems? http://www.ticalc.org/archives/ files/fileinfo/117/11713.html is in Asm, but it is a Basic program. I emailed filearchive about this but they didn't fix it.

When did you email filearchive? Just curious since I can't find any email requesting this, and there aren't many mails left to process at all...

Anyway, I've moved the file. ;)

Niklas, I'm trying to get Prosit to run on Virtual Ti.
Uhm exactly what program do I need to start ?
Make the explanation simple, I don't know anything about a Ti-89, don't own one. :-s

Besides, Ti-83 is muuuuuuch better :-p

First, you need DoorsOS installed. Then load all the Prosit files into VTi and start prosit(). I have no idea what version of DoorsOS or AMS it works with nowadays, though... I'm trying to make Prosit2 a little more compatible, but I have even less time for it now that I'm active here again... =)

I'm not sure on this... but isn't ping that thing that sets the settings for a windows computer? Am I right, or is it some evil hacker program that just happens to come with windows 95 so little kids can learn how to hack?

Ping allows you to check the packet speed of a connection. It's winipcfg that allows you to set the internet settings for a windows computer.
