Why did you take down the ftp server uploads? That really stinks. Are you ever going to put it back up? I think it works better than the file upload form thing. I swear it leaves my files out sometimes.

Well if the file upload form works fine, there is no need for an alternate method. That time would be better spent by ticalc.org staff downloading phpBB v2.0 from www.sf.net/projects/phpbb and integrating it with the ticalc user account system so that a forum system could be brought to ticalc.org.

If anyone decided to actually look at the webpage, the site is not shutting down. It says

"TI-France decided to draw aside me from various projects, and activities which I had since many years.
On the other hand, TI-France agrees to continue to support TI-CAS. Let us not forget that the site is the only teaching support for the users, the opposite would have been astonishing."

Please read the page before making assumptions.

If you look at the bottom of the page, you will see that it says:

"It does not seem to me reasonable to continue a such work if TI-France withdraws me all these things."

Also, I entered the ti-cas.org contest and received a message recently that directly stated that the site will be closing.

If they don't accept your program (ticalc.org, not ti-cas.org) will they notify you? I sent in a program over two months ago and it hasn't appeared yet.

They *might* notify you if your program has been rejected. But your program is more likely waiting to be added to the archives (I know that I have about 10 programs that I submitted ages ago and still haven't made their way into the archives).

First off, your comment is offtopic, and a good example of why ticalc.org needs a forum system or some kind of message boards.

Second- they have tons of people sending them programs, so there is usually a backlog. Just be patient, it will show up eventually. :-) And no, I don't think they send out email notification when it is listed, they never have for me.
