[insert some kind of birthday-related music here]
Posted by Nick on 21 June 2000, 02:00 GMT

and I just can't seem to get enough ofToday, ticalc.org turns four years old.
Good job, ticalc.org! We couldn't have celebrated this without you. :)

Also, today is my first year anniversary of working here, but nobody cares about that, so I'll just say that this is my 222nd news item and that all you people rock for putting up with me for the first 221 *g*.

I have no clue how many files we have in the database right now, but I'd guess it's someplace around 12,500. Steve is spending his time at Microsoft's world headquarters in Redmond (that lucky hax0r), and he would be the one to know the exact number.

Thank you to all our fans and readers who keep this site going. It's been a great time since then, and lots of great and not-so-great things have happened. We couldn't have done all this without you. Thank you thank you thank you. Each and every one of you. Much love.

Update (Phil): Nick is a very bad guesser. As of right now, there are 11,866 files in the ticalc.org filelist database table.

Update (Nick): :(

Well, I haven't seen your clock turn 7:00 PM ANY time in my life.
Although your well-known conditions for bribes mean that I'm sure some people here have... mentioning no names... ;)

Is Steve one of the players that will be key when Bill Gates finally takes over the world?

Or even worse, maybe the new ti-89 os will be Windows CE!!! Nah, that would be horrible. Bill gates taking over the world? Well I think he did that already. Maybe that's what's pissing off the American gov't...

Except for it didn't quite work. In the font ticalc.org uses, they are smaller than the '#'s. At least with IE5.
