There Are Too Many Programs Released This Week

Bigdyna v2.1 BetaYou guys need to get some kind of schedule going or something, where one person uploads a program one day, and another person does it the next day, or something! You're killing me here!
Maybe it's the weekends that do it...

Most outdated goes first: Don Barnes - or someone - uploaded his copy of Super Mario Quest v1.1.0, but forgot to claim it, so this one got overlooked. Badly.
Two (three?) days later, this is getting posted. New features include a barrel-load of bugfixes and improved physics. The 89 and 92 Plus versions are available for DoorsOS II only. The 92 version is for Fargo II users.

One of my personal favorites, BigDyna v2.1 Beta (see screenshot), has been updated for the 89. Bomberman is honestly, in my opinion, the greatest game of all time. Human society reached its apex in achievement with the creation of Bomberman. It now works on AMS v2.03, and HW2 support is existent, but limited. Download it here. The author, Jean Canazzi, can be reached here.

I'd put this in its own news item, but I like these big hulking oversized news items, so there. Quentin Preuvot of Ti-Fr claimed and notified me of this wonderful, nifty, amazingly fantastic program, that has this, oh, how shall we put it, je ne sais quoi - a program that defeats the problems people had with their memory on Hardware 1.00 on AMS v2.03 - a problem that didn't allow users to get the extra half of the memory they so desired.
This fixes that.
MaxMem v1.00 can be downloaded from our archives for the 89 and the 92 Plus. This (obviously) only works for HW1 calculators using AMS v2.03.

I've spent an hour writing and preparing this news item and I'm still not done! Niklas Brunlid has updated SomeGame v0.65 again. Download it for the 89 and the 92 Plus...again!

A bug has been fixed in HW2Patch that now enables one to patch their calculator indefinitely. Patch your calc 89-style and/or 92 Plus-style.

AS92, the famous on-calc ASM compiler, has been updated by Deep Brain Activity. It's now ported to AMS v2.03 and macros have been added. Grab yourself some of that sweet lovin' for the 89 and the 92 Plus.

It's 4:12. Do you know where Ontic v0.99 is? I do! A 68K-based on-calc C compiler, Ontic v0.99 features complete stability and some bugfixes. Download the developer version for the 89 and the 92 Plus. You a user? We have the goods for you: the user version is available for the 89 and the 92 Plus.

This had better be it, because I need to eat dinner! The delectable Kouri Rosenberg has released TxtView v1.52 for the 83 and the 83 Plus for Ion. Sam Heald did the porting to the 83 Plus. Features include a bugfix related to the APD feature. You want source code for this? Well, we've got that too! Source code is available for the 83 and the 83 Plus.

I'm going to sleep.

has anyone else had any problems with the solver after installing the patch for HW 2.0 and AMS 2.x, all that i can get is an error message telling me that it needs to be a Boolean expression or something like that. The only way to fix the error is to do a hard reset. And when i hit 2nd store to recall a variable i get and address error.

SEA monkey quest? do you mean space monkey quest or really sea monkey quest? if it's space you mean, that's not an easter egg...

Has anyone made any programs on the 89 using as92? Has anyone gotten it working? I'm having trouble getting it running.

Does it require a kernel, like doorsos or plusshell? I'd really like to get this going, as now that i have AU3, lost data is a past event :)

Now, all we need is the hw1 fix for the mem to work on 1.05 with AU3, and screw 2.03 HEH!

Or if the archive recovery is as good on 2.03 as it is on 1.05/w AU3, i'll go ahead and flash over!

You know, that's exactly what I'd like. I don't want to switch to 2.03 for 2 main reasons: 1) the 8k limit. I don't completely trust patches to fix it. 2) Program compatibility.

Up untill now, I had no good reason to bother with 2.03 on my HW 1 calc. All that memory is *very* tempting, though. If I could get it with AMS 1.00 I'd be very, very pleased.

Any thoughts on the possibility/impossibility of this?

One of the main reasons that I switched over to 2.03 was because of the collapsable folders. I was really getting sick of having to scroll through all of the files that I had on my calc.
NOTE: I haven't had any problems whatsoever with any of the patches (MaxMem and 8k limit). So if you are even slightly thinking of upgrading, DO IT! ;)

also, archive utility 3 doesn't work properly all the time, as occasionally it curropts files.

ams 2.03 is worth it, as more games are coming out for it, but I agree that either the perograms should be made to be completely independent of the ams, or dependendant on a kernal that can be updated for a new ams, and all programs would retian compatability.

I tried to assemble a small ASM program I made that doesn't libs or anything of that sort (and I'm sure it works when assembled manually !). AS92 seemed do its job fine first, but the OUTPUTB seemed to be corrupted, besides, with all the programs I tried, AS92 created an OUTPUTB of size 5, and when you try to run it, I crashes your calc with an ADDRESS ERROR !!!

as92 is my favorite program on my calc (after SMQ). I have version 2.03 on my calc and MaxMem, so that i archived all my games and libs with space to spare and if it crashes the archive recovery is great, i just copy all my libs into the main folder and reinstall doorsos. i don't even need to put everything back on! as92 works fine for me, but i program minimally in ASM. I love it!
