Yes, your popular newsletter "Le bulletin du ticalc.org" hijacked my mailbox today. However I don't speak French, so "Lettre de l'éditeur. Hej, och tack för att ni läser" to you to.

April 1st, hmm.

Is sure hope this isn't April Fools again. You can stop it now; one article is enough.

Everyone who says first comment, only the guy who didn't say it got it. So stop saying it (and get a watch, if that helps).

Anyway, the newsletter's quite "interesting"... you should do that every month ;-)

Guess what...whoever wrote the "Spanish" part of the "Newsletter" isn't very good at it. How would I know? Look at my last name and ask yourself again.

Dude, lighten up. He used the wonderful fish of many ethnicities.

http://babelfish.altavista.com - worship the fish.

actually, http://www.freetranslation.com is much better, since it interprets many phrases' meanings based on their use in context.

As an example, babelfish - probably the most popular personal translator of all - always assumes you mean "run" as "run a program" and not as in a fast walk/jog. It also interprets "store" as a verb, as in "I stored a copy in RAM." So if you type something like "he ran to the store" (not sure of the exact phrase), translate it through a few languages (I think that French is the important one), and back to English, you get "it executed to memory" =)

I like CFG's much more - at least they don't have to cope with semantecs. . .

I also noticed that when translating "boots" to Spanish, you get:

cargadores del programa inicial

Babelfish seems to translate most things that could possibly have anything to do with computers into that type of speak.

Actually, I didn't use babelfish for that... I translated that myself. And yes, I know, I suck at Spanish :[

You're better than BabelFish... those things are quite useless for translating long phrases, more useful when translating a word or two...

Bin ich schöner? Zerchneid mir das Gesicht.
Bin ich stärker? Brich feige mein Genick.
Bin ich klüger? Töte mich und iss mein Hirn.
Hab ich dein Weib? Töte mich und iss mich ganz auf.

Try and translate this! >:|)

You know, I am not even going to waste my time reading it just because it has "/afj/" in the url.
AFJ (April Fools Joke) kind of gives it away
