Omnimaga Programming Contest 2011 (Part 2)
Posted by Ryan on 6 September 2011, 18:45 GMT

This past week, the results came in for the second segment of the Omnimaga Programming Contest 2011. The detailed results have been made available here. For those who have not had the opportunity to explore the contest and monitor its progress, Part 2 encouraged the development of games for the TI-Nspire platform. A heartfelt congratulations goes out to everyone who participated in the contest, and we all are eagerly looking forward to your future projects.

Speaking of contests, don't forget about zContest, which still has plenty of time for new contestants to get a fresh start before the deadline grows too near.

Why shouldn't it be posted here?

Considering most of the programs for both of the contests never have and probably never will make their way onto ticalc.org archives, I hardly see any relevance.

I don't agree with you ashbad_alvin...

zcontest entries are frequently hosted on ticalc.org when they are finished. I've found some of them :

zcontest 2006 :
football simulation : files/fileinfo/365/36585.html
peno football : files/fileinfo/397/39723.html

zcontest 2007:
castelvania : news/articles/14/142/142854.html
end of empire : files/fileinfo/400/40053.html
bouncy! 2.1 : files/fileinfo/372/37274.html

zcontest 2008:
go19x19 : files/fileinfo/321/32110.html
I will say to 2011 zcontest programmer to do this too if possible.
And I think it's a good thing to have this kind of news because contests are a part of the community life.
Ticalc news are not only for ticalc.org's archives but it's a mirror of the entire community activity...

And I think it's the best place for this kind of news.
Thanks ryan to do this :)

Ok do you wish I remove the link?

You're not interested in participating in zcontest this year? ;)
We have found a sponsor :)
There's a lot of prizes (one ti-nspire cx cas, two ti84+ pocket.fr and three ti76.fr :D)

That has nothing to do with them posting news about it. They post news about the community, not just stuff that ends up in their archives, so there is no reason this news article should not be here.
