TI-83 Plus OS 1.19
Posted by Michael on 9 February 2006, 03:17 GMT

Due to the incessant clamoring for a news article despite the fact that we still don't know what it changes or fixes, I wish to announce that TI has released version 1.19 of the TI-83 Plus OS. The download page still indicates 1.18 but the actual OS file is 1.19.

I called Pat Milheron the other day and he said it changes something to allow TI-Navigator to write variables directly to archive instead of to RAM then archive. He also said that there are sublte changes that we SHOULD notice.

...just not legal in the US due to the DMCA.

Still, that's cool. I wonder how they did that. I especially wonder how they did that without adding any new B_CALLs.

What? It wasn't legal for them to change their own software?

You are just installing it wrong, I am sure. The OS upgrade won't mess up BASIC games.

oh i found the prob. the game need the MirageOs stuff. but now there's another problem (actually it have existed b4 i upgrade but i'll just post it here since there's no proper forums on this site)

when i load up the mirageOS app, the screen goes all messed up. it's like they are tiled wrong. eg. 1st column of small squares is correctly displayed but 2nd column onwards isn't. it can load up FF all right, the title screen is good, but the map is messed up too. it happened b4 when i tried to play another game (something along the lines of XXX the superkid). other apps (notefolio) work fine. does anyone else have this problem?

I had the same, but I downloaded an Assembly program to fix screen bugs, and it seems to work fine (I had the problem with Sim city).
The link to download the prog is on page 2 of this topic.

After I installed OS 1.19 I noticed that if you push PRGM or VARS twice, you get a second menu. I'm not sure if that was there on OS 1.18 but I just noticed it. I haven't really figured it out yet though.

Any information please email me, thanks.

Can someone send me OS 1.18. I am mad about the puzzpack thing and want to downgrade. By the way, what is Left/right/on supposed to do on TI-83+?
