PreOS v0.70 Released
Posted by Michael on 4 September 2004, 15:44 GMT

Patrick Pelissier has released PreOS v0.70, his kernel for the 89, 92+, and V200. Version 0.70 is fully compatible with the TI-89 Titanium, and runs on all AMS versions and all hardware versions. The grayscale library now works on all hardware versions as well. All kernel programs should now run on the Titanium without patching.

Lol, many old kernel programs use hacks that are so nasty and unsafe that they don't even work on AMS 2.xx (which has been out for five years !). I don't think PreOS 0.70 can patch every such hack...

All the Kernels Programs which work with AMS 2.0x work on Titanium too.

Don't say "all". That won't be true unless GhostBuster is used. Your autopatcher is very far from fixing all compatibility problems.

Actually they all do for me. At least the ones I have tried (the good ones).

I say "All" because it has been tested! (cf ticalc archives).

On the suggestion (nay, insistence!) of Lionel Debroux, I want to clarify something: by 'work', I mean that programs are usable, not that they work flawlessly.

It's hard to have you post something you object to, which tells the truth, isn't it ?
And did you eat
'For example, I knew when I wrote my previous post that the only problem in Solar Striker was most strings being displayed as garbage. This is due to an unsafe hack to get the address of the fonts for low-level fast string drawing.' [A fixed version was released yesterday].
(from my mail) because you were too hungry ?

No, because I want you to post it.
