ticalc.org Newsletter Returns
Posted by Michael on 31 July 2004, 03:21 GMT

After a one year hiatus, the ticalc.org newsletter has returned under the grand leadership of Jonathan Katz, our newsletter editor. Editions will now be published bimonthly, providing double the amount of newsletter goodness in each dose.

This month's (and next month's) edition was e-mailed to subscribers this evening. If you aren't a subscriber, you can view the July/August 2004 newsletter and then promptly follow the subscription directions on the Mailing Lists page.

Just make sure you don't interview Kevin Kevinler for the next newsletter.

So that's why I got 2 e-mails! The subject lines were almost the same, so I thought that I was just sent two copies of the newsletter, and didn't open the corrections one until just now. I didn't notice those mistakes, either!

Even though I have never done one, I can say that making the newsletter for ticalc.org requires quite a bit of time. Jon is taking on more and more tasks and he is doing an awesome job!

I had this same problem, and when I figured it out I felt so stupid :) Your not supposed to put anything in parenthesis. So if your subcribing to the html version, you should send an email to ecartis@lists.ticalc.org that says this exactly: "subscribe newsletter-html"

(Supposed) ticalc.org Newsletter Returns
Jason Malinowski  Account Info

I'm not sure if I should open it, as it could be spam! We obviously know that it can't be a real newsletter, since those don't exist anymore. And the spammer even spoofed the From: address, since we know ticalc.org wouldn't send spam intentionally. Indeed, it must be spam.

/me deletes the e-mail, not opening it to prevent the spammers from verifying his e-mail address

;-)

But how could a spammer be so stupid?

Great!! keep it up!
This will surely attract more people to write reviews and to do some programming (I hope so).. or at least it will make them remember ticalc.org is still Alive!!
