Street Fighter II v0.19 Beta
Posted by Kirk on 8 May 1999, 18:41 GMT

Thomas Corvazier has made a web page available to the public. The web page, among other things, contains the pre-release version 0.19 of the program that was previously posted here; v0.18 for the TI-89 and the TI-92 Plus is available from ticalc.org, while both v0.18 and v0.19 are available at the Street Fighter II web site. English users will want to use Babel Fish or another translator to translate the page from French to English.

Are there any other backgrounds I can load into the calc? And are the files separate or do they all come in one package deal.

-thanks

It is possible that when you installed windows 98, your initialization file was lost, make sure that you have the link sending through the same COM port you had it going through in 95.

That's because Windows 98 is a piece of sh*t! Stick to Windows 95.

Don't worry - u will get it running! Check out all Ports you have: select COM1 then try sending.. COM2...COM3...COM4..
If it doesnt work, it can be that your calc have a port problem: Some TIProgs (witch use the LInkPort) doesn't reset the Port at the end. So try to send a file (not pluged) - Link error appears - now the Port should be reseted. Then it should work.

I think too that WIN98 is not the bes*! but I think too, that TI-Graphlink Software is very sh**!!, so the problem can be by both!!

I had this problem after I reformated my computer and reinstalled Windows 98 (it worked perfectly before) I had to go into the BIOS and enable the ports.

Need Street Fighter II v0.19 Beta, 0.18 won''t work..
Andy

When I try and load 0.18 onto my calc it gives me an invalid checksum error after trying to transfer for awhile (I tried on two different comps). That SUCKS. I wanna play SF2 also... And now it appears that the authors have removed 0.19b from the webpage because they're mad at it getting distributed or something. Well all I know is the link to the beta from their site doesn't work. Anyway, if someone could e-mail me it or tell me where I could find it that'd be REAL nice :) Share the wealth! Well if not I guess I'll just wait awhile for another full release and see if I can send it to my calc.

He's right. I had trouble sending large files to
my 89 when the batterys are even half charged!

My 89 link didn't like the files either, so i just used the 92+ link because they are virtually the same program with "92+" replaced with "89". You can even take sceen shots of the 89 on the 92+ software and vise-versa. Also, in version .19b, even though there are two of each file, a .89z and a .9xz, they are the exact same things. the program can detect what calc it's on and sets the screen size to the appropriate dimensions and controls.

Be quiet. You want the game so much you make it. I (and I think everynone else) is perfectly happy with this GREAT game. If I seem mean or edge-y, It's from the coffee. Either way, be happy with what ya got. Hell, we're lucky to actually own an 89.

I don't think the message was meant to be taken negatively.

Actually, I wonder if the authors could use the SF2T engine, change the graphics of the characters, backgrounds, and fireballs to match those of MK, and release it as Mortal Kombat?...This is what professional game developers do for 3D games, i.e. modify the Quake II engine to produce Quake clone #845. Besides, Mortal Kombat was really just meant to be a SF2 clone in the first place.

I keep hearing about Tetris, but when I try to load it onto my 89 and play it under Doors it doesn't do anything. I hit enter on the program name and nothing happens. Does anyone know why this is????

to your 89

For some weird reason, the version of Tetris89 that is on ticalc.org is the one that uses the old Plusshell libraries. (Lds, Chris, you reading this?)
