"OurWorld" is an extremely impressive application. There may be other map programs on the net, but none can compete with the zoomability, detail, and features of this miracle. Most calculator maps aren't very detailed, but "OurWorld" captures even the most obscure of places perfectly, even as a full-fledged world map! It also has a sensor device to give you the coordinates of the part of the map you're looking at, a distance calculator, and an impressive search function with every single label listed on it.
The program is surprisingly easy to operate, with the fool-proof keypad controls of zoom ([+],[-]) and maneuvering throughout the map ([up], [down], [left], [right]). However, the menu is placed quite oddly on the "Clear" key, which left me confused for a few minutes. Because of the absolute awesomeness of this program, I've deemed it unable to be improved upon. I would definitely recommend this to everyone (more so for an 84+(SE) owners because of the speed)!

"OurWorld" is the best geography program that I've seen for a TI graphing calculator. Although it may not seem to have good graphics in comparison to a computer program such as "Google Earth", it is amazing for the graphics on a TI calculator. Unfortunately, because of the amazing graphics, this takes up a lot of room on a graphing calculator. I would recommend this program to anyone, especially someone with a TI-84 plus SE (that's what I have, and it doesn't really use up too much of the memory). I would give this program a 9.5/10 for it's amazing graphics and usability. |

I downloaded OurWorld and was astonished to see the state-of-art rendering done by TI Calculators. Who cares if this app is almost 100000K if you have a SE or 84+? For 83+, I don't think games are as important as this app.
I recommend everyone to download OurWorld.
Overall: 9/10 (maybe a little faster...?) |

OurWorld is simply an amazing program. It has an amazing amount of features and data points and is actually quite small (~100 kilobytes) for what it does. Its world map is very accurate on a country scale and contains at least one city per country. It also has a surface distance finder, which is an interesting feature. I wouldn't recommend this program for the TI-83+ - you most likely will not have enough free space. However, on the Silver edition, it is only a "small" piece of your calculator. (the third largest app I have seen) Besides its size, the only drawback of OurWorld is its speed. It could perhaps be written to be a bit faster. I can't really rate it on traditional standards, but overall I would give it a 9 out of 10. |

Once I downloaded OurWorld, I was astonished. This is the most adequate and amazing world map viewer that I have ever ran across on an 83+. The features weren't exquisite or extensive, but the amount of objects labeled was un-paralleled to other map viewing programs. I recommend this program full-heartedly, that is if your willing to sacrifice the 98304 bytes it takes up running as an app. Personally I wouldn't use it on anything except a SE, unless you don't have anything else to use your calculator for. Overall, I believe that this application is a wonderful tool and could be very valuable to many people. |
