Controls: 7/10 Standard. It would be nice, however, to see whether the circle or the square is selected currently.
Implementation: 8/10 Quite good, only I wish that it would save my previous level even when I don't use AShell.
Overall: 7/10 A decent puzzle game that will take a while to beat.

If you haven't played it before, in DStar you control a circle (which may gather gems) and a square (which stops just before hitting a gem). Your mission is to collect all of the gems, using your square as an aid if necessary. The hard part of the game is that the circle and the square. move until they hit something, so you need to strategically place them to beat the levels. The game isn't terribly addictive, but it is a decent brain teaser.

One feature that would be nice is some way to see whether the circle is selected or the square is selected. It is rather annoying to think that you are going to move one of them, but you end up moving the other one. Also, if you do not run this program from a shell which supports program writeback, the level that you were on previously is not saved. This means that if you use one of the more common shells, you will have to start from level one again!

This game is very addicting in many ways. It's highly strategic, and has that force that wants to pull you back until you beat it. Basically you control this one ball that goes to the extremes, left, right, forward, and back when you press one of the arrow keys. You have to collect all the other balls before you can advance to te next level. However there are many places in which you can get stuck and have to restart the level.

Its one of those games that requires you to think, but once you figure it out you are likely to jump out of your seat and scream wildly into the classroom air! So you have been warned. I give the program an 8/10. One you beat all the levels you are likely not going to want to play it again. Just being able to say that you have beaten them all it all you need to have :-) It's a great program overall.
