What is the advantage of rating files?

As you use programs and play games found in the public archives we strongly encourage you to revisit the pages from which you downloaded these programs and rate them on their overall quality. The advantage to this is a more solid foundation of knowledge of which programs are of high quality and which are not. Every directory can be sorted by file ratings (from highest to lowest) making it easy for you to view which programs others have enjoyed or found useful. The more programs you rate, the more complete this information becomes.
