I use Windows NT 5.1 build 2600 with TI-Graph Link for programming (only BASIC). Does anyone know a better BASIC program editor for the TI-83/84 plus series? TI-Graph Link is very buggy... and 16 bit :S.

Besides, I can't get my Linux working well... but I don't spend that much time in it. But why is Debian/(K)Ubuntu not listed?

It's only an online pogram, isn't it?

Do you have/plan to make an 'normal' executable program of it?

DOS and wordpad are what i use to program. My mandrake linux doesn't support a lot of linux assemblers, so I had to say Windows, although I handwrite a lot of code in class, too.

Why RedHat/Fedora SuSE FreeBSD Slackware and Mandrake, but not Debian or Ubuntu? For one thing, Mandrake is now called Mandriva. Ubuntu is 1st on Distrowatch's list of top distrobutions, while Slackware is 9th. (link) Also, Gentoo is often considered the real coder's distrobution, since it can be used to compile everything from source.

I, for one, and a Debian user.

This may be because that z80 programmers are confined to Windows, yet with the 68k programming software has been tested and works well with Fedora/Redhat, FreeBSD and Slackware from personal experience.

This may be because that z80 programmers are confined to Windows-->> huh? They can just create a text file and give it a .z80 extention. How is that limited to Windows? Maybe Windows is a better platform for z80 dev, though.

See title.

Seriously, though. Debian is, IMHO, the IDEAL programming/hacking flavor of GNU/Linux. Why isn't it on the list?

Come on, what about Slackware (my personal choice, which I'm posting from right now), where it's basically a bunch of packages which you can choose individually, with a simple setup program and some init scripts on a bootable CD? Talk about customizable! ;-)

True, but you can't beat dpkg and apt ;)

Yeah, the automatic package updates are very nice (something I wish Slackware had).

TIGCC on Windows XP.

I do other development work either in the latest release of Dev-C++ in Windows XP, or in a syntax-highlighting text editor (Kedit) and g++ (from the command line) on Debian GNU/Linux

The first time it was stuck in my MX exchange queue for 72 hours and finally was denied. The second time it bounced with an "unknown delivery error".
