I'm missing the "I have no opinion"-option. I don't have a 85 nor a 86.

Blinded by the Dark is my favorite. It's a huge RPG. Check out the screenshots. I beat it 4 times and it's still fun, but exremely hard.

I think ZMercury would be the best (and can't wait for the 83+ port), but I'm witholding my vote until they get the "I have no opinion" choice up.

Oh, and I can't wait for the 89/92/92+/V200 poll to come up since I get to vote on that one too this year! I wonder which one I'm going to vote for... I like all the games I play frequently on my calculator! (And I think most of them are from this year.)

That won;t be added. Its not possible to add an option. For an existing poll. its pretty pointless to vote for "I have no opinion" becasue our vote is basically thrown out when the results are tabulated.

Yeah MV said they were working on putting that option up in #tcpa before I posted that... Also not that they got it up about 3-4 hours before you posted that. :P

Yeah, my bad. I often don't even bother to check sometimes. But my other point still stands, might as well not vote if you are voting for no opinion.

ZMercury is a 1 minute game... It has OK graphics and when your done with the first level, it goes back to the beginning! It was one of the worst space-invader-like games I have ever played.

You are pretty nieve to think that he is actually done with it! If you look at the history and versions of his other programs like phoenix you will notice that he releases dozens of versions, every one of which is much improved from the last. Patience and give him time. I don't expect a college grad to have all that much time!

It's true that he is not done with it, but I was simply arguing the point that ZMercury (at the current state) falls far below some of the other featured programs. Also, I was giving some info on the program for the people who vote based on the screenshots of the programs.

In addition, I commend him on Pheonix. Had that been on the list, I may have casted it my vote. However, I judge programs based on their current state, not their potential. I noticed how he made the Mercury games for the 68k calcs, and that would have taken my vote had it been on the 86.

I think we're voting on the quality of programs, not predictions of what they might someday be.

That being said, I still <3 PAD. :-)

yeah, but think, the TI-85/6 is a CALCULATOR. Not a gameboy Advance

You don't need any programs at all if you use it only as a calculator. Besides the OS.

What about math progs? Calculus apps? Maybe a periodic table? Those are good add-ons for a calculator.

I can't. It's like an illness to me, if there is a poll, I have to vote :D

Seriously: I think many non-owners would decide (and vote) what's best by looking at screenshots and not by the trying program itself. So adding the option was a good idea.
