I voted for Unit Operations-I thought it showed the most programming skill, although I guess I shouldn't have voted because I haven't used most of the other progs on the survey....

I know this is going to sound stupid, but I'm not a n00b, I've just never actually voted in a survey before. How do you vote?

On the mail page (http://www.ticalc.org), click on the radio button that is next to your choice, and click "Vote".

Come to think of it, it might make just slightly more sense for the button to be labled "Submit".

I don't know how that happened, but that was supposed to be "main page" not "mail page".

I really should have waited-I just played Marc the Superkid Quest yesterday, and if I had another chance, it would definitely get my vote.

hehe, thanks, i appreciate it

especially now since that program is #75 and my ultra-crappy MtSQuest - Battle Demo is #28 and I don't understand the logic for that...

Had to vote "no opinion" because I haven't used my 83+ for 2 years (it's sitting on a shelf collecting dust).

Escrow service. www.escrow.com.
I voted for Grayscale programming pack; that showed the most skill and is the most useful. Half the new assembly games coming out are in greyscale, simply because the pack makes it almost as easy to program in greyscale as in black-and-white.

Well, you see, there is this thing called the United States Postal Service. It works a little like email, only you send actuall matter, rather than electrons. It also takes a lot longer, and costs a lot more.

... that's sarcasm, by the way.

Yeh, Britain has something similar - Royal Mail. You put a little piece of matter in another piece of matter - give directional details on latter matter and attach a self adhesive blue or red piece of matter.

Unfortunately these days, placing the red piece of matter (which for now we shall call a servant) on the latter matter (which we will call a battle field) doesn't give the advantage over the blue matter (umm.. turnip) that it used to - it no longer takes that one or two days less to reach you. In fact - the bloody first piece of matter (lets say a monster generated from someones id) doesn't reach the destination you gave directions for.
So whether your mate shoved a servant or a turnip on the battle field, and no matter (the non-matter matter here) how brilliant your directions are - the id generated monsters will never reach you via Royal Mail. So they have to walk, and they walk in big groups.
So when you are driving down the street you have to beware the ids that march.

Bill S. was right you know.

Hell, I'm in a wierd mood tonight.

Oh, and electrons are matter, but that doesn't matter really.
