I generally aviod the whole photo thing. And, I would definitely not have a calc in a picture with me. There is a certain level of 'calc love' which I just don't go near, I don't even dip my toes in to it.

Anyway, it has a TI80, casio FX82 (Sci) and a four function to keep it company.

Soth do you..... hate calculators? I think we should discuss your problem-- er... "situation" now, so that no more calculators can be so emotionally abused. this is a majorly overlooked prob-- "situation" these days. calculator neglection cases are more widespread than most think...

My TI-86 is getting older-it now has a few scratches on the case :(.

LOL... well, I don't really care for Biology (so, in other words, I could be completely wrong), but I think the fact that he's a chemautotroph might have something to do with it.

well, actually, you are correct, but i was trying to avoid biology. i had a bad experience last year... in my biology class... when going over single-celled organisms... don't ask or i'll eat your soul (digitally)

Just incase you forgot- a chemoautotroph is a single celled organism (of the prokarayote family) that feeds off inorganic matter, I could eat my own calculator for instance. I also hate biology.

OKAY, FINE! i'll give you this much:
we were the only ones there... accident during lab... acid... microscope (EXPENSIVE MICROSCOPE!!!)... BAD BAD BAD REACTION for a BIOLOGY experiment! a chemical here, unknown chemical there... you get? i ran, i was there, not their partner, but i witnessed it, and thus i was in fear for my life. okay? story told... no names, get it?

Hmm... I'm not sure if this was an explosive or some type of acid that screwed up the microscope, but either way it sounds like something to laugh about (a couple years later LOL). :)

well, sort of explosive (acid-stuff was flying around *everywhere*) and highly corrosive. that's another reason i ran... the other kid got burned pretty badly, a good punishment for being such a retard with the chemicals.
basically, the slide-holder fell off, two lenses melted, and various other things were messed up.
and he doesn't go to ticalc.org, but if anyone who knows him does, etc... niether of us want to be connected to the incident as more than witnesses to the accident... he had to do some serious fibbing to get out of it

depends... in most regular chem classes (as opposed to like the second year, in an AP class or something), or at least mine, we didn't even get to use any real dangerous highly reactive chemicals, besides a couple acids. My biology teacher had done a demonstration and left out a bunch of stuff that this kid got to.
YOU... will probably be fine. I had a klutz friend in chemistry, for a lab partner. our first instruction when dealing with these acidic carcinogens was to be very careful and not splash any drips. 10 seconds (10 SECONDS!!!) into the experiment my partner says "oops" and i look over and he's spilled 4 drops on his shirt...

nope. he had to take it off, and then another teacher took it into the back room and i guess did something to it with other chemicals to remove the other ones, and he got it back a week later
