RE: TI-H: OS OT

wow... 10-15 days... still doesn't compare to the win2000 I've been
running.. hasn't been restarted for lets see.. 74 days, 12 hours, and 38
minutes.. :) and I've been using it for all kinds of stuff.. Run Frontpage
2000, Flash 4, all the Office apps, and the good ol' winamp. of course, the
ftp & web servers. Don't know what people are complaining about with it
crashing all the time. Hasn't crashed for me yet (the occasional exception
error from a program playing bad, but thats it) I ran Linux 6.2 for 3 days
on another system, and it seemed like everything I did crashed it. Maybe
thats because I didn't know what the hell I was doing. :)

got Linux Mandrake 5 or 6... I feel like a dumb dumb trying to use it. It
keeps on saying it can't change the lilo... and all I did was use a gui
floper to choose dos as the default thing to be loaded.

I got win98 SE and all the tools. (msdn subscription)
It is cool stuff.

My computer has been VERY stable since I installed win98 (er... got rid of
Norton)... even more so since win98SE... I get uptimes of 10-15 days. then
I reboot cause some prog didn't give its memory all back... and it is a
clean reboot... And I've been running sloppy emulators (Apple IIgs, Atari
800) (VTI is not sloppy)

When I run the linux... The configurer doesn't detect my cards properly, I
can't remember the capitalization of the file I want to edit... (I love the
man's though)

I can get my modem to dial... but I can't connect to my ISP with it. I have
searched for the info... no can find. (external USrobotics Courier)

But I do have to say that my moms computer crashes a lot... She still has
Norton installed. (and its got the funky power saving features)

I am downloading BeOs as we speek. I am going to install the IIgs emulators
on it... (and if I can ever figure out how to) and on my Linux.
