There are many MAX232 models, and they are free!!  :)  If you go to
maxim-ic they will send you free samples.

Last time I checked, JDR was selling the cap model for $1.75.

Some use external components such as the MAX232-EPE (I think the CPE has
the caps built in, I said EPE earlier).
