Nope.

Its the other way arround.  Look at PC Magazine's review of the 500 PIII
compared to a Mac.

They did that when PIs were the only ones available.

IBM is working on ~700MHz and 1.3GHz models of its G3 chips to put into
desktops.

Apple is working on a computer to use the 670MHz chip.
