Yep.  There is a difference between "SCSI-2" and "SCSI-2 compliant"
VERY few drives were SCSI-2 only, and even those will operate slowly on
SCSI-1.  I have used many SCSI-2 drives on a SCSI-1 machine.  NEVER saw any
problems.  If this will help, I just tested, and my Apple IIe (.7MHz, 16
years old) and it dectected them but it said it couldn't format the
"foreign matter"...
