The amplifier is a uP (micropower) chip that shuts down to just several 
microAmps when not in use. It's designed for portable systems where 
energy conservation is imperitave.

It hasn't officialy been released yet though, and I await it's release, 
so I can see if it can be adapted to the SPinTerface Speaker cart. The 
cart uses tons of power, even when no sound is made.
