I've been using the renewal battery sytem for a few years now and I think
its great. I've got both chargers and I've used them with AA and AAA
batteries. The charger and batteries may be more expensive than regular
alkalines or nickle cadmiums but it has still saved me literally hundreds
of dollars since I got it. That's enough of a plug for now though (BTW I
don't work for the Renewal company)
Okay, So If you're having that problem with a Renewal charger the most
likely reason is that you need to get new batteries. The Renewal batteries
have an average life of 25 charges and after that they get hot and melt
down sometimes. The voltage drops off a little towards the end of their
life as well but it isn't too significant. Most electronics will work fine
with slightly less than 1.5V. Anyway, that's the most likely reason. It
could also be caused by dirty connections either on the battery's terminals
or the charger's. That causes resistance which drops the voltage making the
charger think the battery isn't full yet.
I hope that gets you going 'cause Renewal batteries beat out that pink
rabbit any day. If ya got any other questions I'd be glad help.
