well, i woke up this morning and tried it. still no good. so i took out the link cable from the calc, turned off the calc, blew into the recieving port (ive played too many NES games), put the cable back in, turned it on and tried again, and now it works fine. blah. that's progress for you. I still like 86 better. oh well.
