Re: Downloads from TI web page

Ben,
If you could tell us your exact version #, I would be able to help you
out to some extent (depending on the version). To check this, go to the
Help menu under Internet Explorer and click on "About Internet Explorer" A
dialog box with a few MS graphics should pop up with your version #, product
ID, and a few other things simimlar to that. I need to know your FULL
version #, just that, and then I might be able to help you out further. For
example, my browser's version # is: 5.50.4134.0600IS . The reason that
version numbers are sometimes extremely long is because of the constant
amount of changes made to the program. When a change of almost any kind is
made to the source code of the program, the version # is modified
accordingly. The larger the update, the larger interval of the version #
changed. So, if they changed only a few insignificant features of the
program, the version # would only be changed up from, for example,
5.50.4134.0600IS to 5.50.4200 . What I'm trying to say is that even if
your version is nearly identical to mine, th e changes made could have
affected something like that. Otherwise, I think Internet Explorer has many
very tiny glitches that prevent it from properly viewing some pages, even if
they say they should work with IE. Anyway, get me that # and I'll help you
out some more.
       Thanks,
            Peter Magenheimer
