Color codes on TI-82

behind the plastic screen on my TI-82 are 3 marks that look like they are
in colored greese pen or some sort of paint marker... they are a short
light purple and short green on the left and then a long red one on the
right... does these marks mean anything?  could someone point me to a URL
with an explanation or explain what these mean... thanx
