On the 85 there is a function under the graph|Draw menu called Vert.
executing it 'interactively' (ie, while you see the graph screen)
shows a vertical line that can be moved by the cursor keys. hitting
enter draws it at the current position.
Typing it in or selecting while seeing the textscreen copies Vert To
the screen. type a number (ie: -1) and hit enter. draws x=-1.
As to solving something with x=2 and y=f(x), just plug in x in f(x).
