hmm that's a hard question..  first.. yes you can with a program.. dunno
where to get it.. cuz i don't collect 83 stuff..

second.. yes but NOT as easy as the TI85 AND 86 with the POLY feature!!
(wow finds roots (x) to the 30th power!!!) (takes some time though)

and your other question with the solver.. hmm  i dunno how to use the
solver for ti83 (not as friendly as 85 and 86) but i guess you can, BUT
it'll only find one of the roots (x) cuz you can't find multiple x's..
right?
