Pencil lead?!  Why in the world would someone stick a pencil in the
linkport?!  Were they trying to get a joy?  Maybe I don't want to know :)
 Anyways, if the linkport looked good when you opened the case, chances
are that it is still good.  The problem lies in the electronic part of
the calc.
