Ok.  I hope this helps:

/pub/92/asm/shells/backups/  - These backups are normal Fargo backups
and don't contain any of the custom modules for compatibly.

/pub/92/asm/shells/backups/compat-pre-021 - These backups make Fargo
compatible with 0.2.0.x programs (none exist anymore), but not 0.1.x
programs.

/pub/92/asm/shells/backups/compat-pre-020 - These backups make Fargo
compatible with 0.1.x programs (old fargo programs), but not 0.2.0.x
programs.

/pub/92/asm/shells/backups/compat-all - These backups make Fargo
compatible with 0.2.0.x AND 0.1.x programs.
