LF: /fargo/fterm/modem/problems/please/read/

Hmm, i have no clue....heres the problem:

I hooked everything up (correctly), and typed "AT" it said "OK"

After trying many different commands, i arrived at the following:

The modem will take ANY COMMAND that starts with AT, and say OK

                AT                  = OK
                ATZ                 = OK
                ATKDFJDIHGH         = OK
                ATXXXXXXXXX         = OK
                AT<anything>        = OK

BUT THE MODEM WILL  N O T  DIAL   --  I type ATDT#######     and NOTHING

I hooked the modem up to my COMPUTER, went to PROCOMM, installed it as a
new modem, and it worked fine -- dialed and everything.

I copied the command string it used, and tried that on the calc - nothing

ANY IDEAS?

HERE ARE MINE:

I am thinking it is something with the modem's DTR setting. Since it is
like a compact modem (that CAN use a 9V batt or Plug) it's DTR is funny.

I tried the DTR commands, still didn't help

The instruction book talks about PIN # 20 for signaling the modem for DTR
however this is for the BATTERY mode

There is only 4 lights on the modem

1) High speed
2) Low speed
3) Carrier Detect
4) Low Battery
