right on about that rant, but I have a suggestion.  I'm writing a basic game
for my 86 right now, similar to Zelda, but w/ a different theme.  I have all
my basic coding worked out, I've just got to copy and recopy it over and
over again for certain elements.  But the point I'm trying to make is that
this would really rock if it were in ASM, and I know diddly about ASM, so
you idea for a tutorial on tile based games w/ grayscale and smooth
scrolling might actually be very useful to my endeavor.
