Hi,
I think that the reason that the back up battery doesn't work is that if
you pull one of the batteries out when the calc is on, it doesn't cut in
for some reason. If you turn the calc off, then pull the batteries out,
then it stores your memory. I'm not sure about this, so don't flame me If
i'm wrong.
