I'm not a beta tester, and I love Usgard.  Yeah, the usgshell isn't my
favorite shell, neither is explore, they're both too big and graphical. 
But the best thing (imho) is that you can write your own shell, and
that's what i've been working on since .9b came out (of Usgard).  It's a
dos-like shell, a little bigger than the small shell, but it supports
qview.  I don't feel that it's ready for a serious release, but if you
want to try it, you can download a beta from
http://members.tripod.com/~Llama_/usgdos.zip .  Before you start
complaining about it (supposing you try it) remember it's a beta (so is
Usgard for those of you who have forgotten.)
