RE: LZ: link question

Technically, you can have all 4 coms in use, just as long as you can customize
your port settings in both CMOS, OS, and apps. Yes, by convention, but not set
in stone, COM 1 and COM 3 share irqs, as do COM 2 and COM 4.

On the computers that it doesn't work with, is there a modem? If there is,
you
already have 2 com ports in use (the maximum allowed). I know there are 4 com

ports, but 1 and 3 share the same something or other as do 2 and 4... the only

way I got mine to run was to put the modem on 2, the mouse on 1, and
reconfigure
the other com port on the back of the computer to 4 and plug it in there. The
way it's set up, you can use all 3, but you can't use the modem at the same
time
as the graph link.
