[A83] my friends calculator
I got a funny story about what happened to my friends calculator. We were
sitting around in physics messing around with a powerbox (outputting 2-12
volts), when we figured it would be a good idea to see if a powerbox could
replace a battery. We turned the box down to 2 volts and hooked it up and it
was working fine. Then some other guy in my physics class cranked the box to
twelve volts and the calculator starting sparking. The screen is now "burnt"
down the right hand side, it's black even when off. I was wondering is it
possible to replace the lcd or does that require a great deal of skill? Or
could other stuff have been damaged as well? I'm not a great technical
person so i have no idea. Anyway could someone tell me if it is really
screwed or just partially screwed. Thanks
